All Instructors

Elective 1 Big Room Nina Gilkenson
Belly dancing. Oh, you all know by now that Nina is awesome and how – and we mean it – her hips don’t lie. Come and start your weekend off right with a little belly dancing fun times with the legend herself.
Elective 2 Sun Room Casey Schneider
All I do (girly routine). Time to get girly, y’all! Casey’s gonna teach a special choreo dedicated to sugar and spice and everything nice. No boys allowed, pink is encouraged, and you can perform it later at the dance for us! (Inspired by the All I Do is Dream of You clip from the movie Singin’ in the Rain!)
Elective 3 Post Room Stefan Durham and Bethany Powell
Waist up!  A mostly solo original choreography, brought to you by the unicorns of lindy hop, Stefan & Bethany. You probably shouldn’t miss this one.
Elective 4 Big Room Andy Reid and Nina Gilkenson
Ode to Frankie. A whole class dedicated to the incomparable Mr. Frankie Manning, chock full of special Frankie-isms brought to you by the incomparable Andy Reid & Nina Gilkenson.
Elective 5 Sun Room Stefan Durham and Bethany Powell
Body Rhythm Routine. Stefan & Bethany move like they don’t have limitations. If you’re familiar with them, you know I don’t need to say another word. If you aren’t, please wear your seat belt.
Elective 6 Post Room Mike Faltesek
Doin’ the Jive. Remember that one time when the Careless Lovers created a video & song (see: Black Coffee) that swept the lindy hop community by storm? Well, they’re at it again! Falty & friends have choreographed a line dance to the Careless Lovers’ Doin’ the Jive, and Mike wants to teach it to you. Don’t make him beg.

Big Room All Instructors
One of the worst parts about dance events are waking up early on Saturday to make it to the venue in order to audition on the shakiest legs, cold and spent from a long night of dancing.

We hear you. We’ve taken to heart all the feedback we’ve received over the last 3 years from both our students and our instructors, and engineered our idea of the best possible scenario for everyone:

This year, we’ve bumped our auditions to Saturday afternoon to give you more time to rest and recover and get ready to show our instructors your best stuff. Join us in the morning for a couple hours of open electives or sleep-in and get some extra rest before dropping in after lunch for auditions and an afternoon of tracked classes.

Also new this year, every track will get a very special nearly two-hour block with every instructor pair. These classes will not have a theme or topic pre-assigned to them, but are an opportunity for our instructors to spend quality time with each level, teaching the skills or topics most relevant for each group.

There will be three levels of workshops: 1, 2, and 3. Auditions are required for levels 2 & 3. Anyone who misses out on auditions will be tracked to level 1. Level one meets in the Post Room, level two meets in the Big room, while level 3 will meet in the Sun Room.
