With the addition of the Show to Midwest Lindyfest in 2009, we decided in 2010 to create a competition to give local/regional dancers the opportunity to earn a place in the Show. Each spring we host this competition to determine the best 30 Second Choreography as judged by the event organizers. The winner of the competition earns the opportunity to present their piece in the Show and possibly extend it.
This coveted opportunity brings out many great choreographs from local dancers. From Common to Zany, Jazz to SexyBack, it makes a fun night of social dancing and showcases.
2012 Contest
The competition for 2012 is on Saturday March 17th at Four Season’s Dance Studio. Further information and rules are available on Facebeook, but you can sign up here if you are already familiar with them.
